General
LandskronaVarvet has several unique advantages for building large, complex steel structures. Our fabrication and production area exceeds 100 000 m2 – 35 000 m2 of which is indoors. The large indoor area makes us independent of bad weather. On our slipway we can produce hulls up to a size of 255x40 metres.
Prefabrication
Aside of five gas cutting machines, we have a plasma cutting machine capable of handling plates of up to 3,1x24 metres. We have three plate rollers, (the largest for plates of up to 9 meteres), two profile rollers, two edging presses (the largest up to 12m) and an hydraulic press of 400 tonnes.
Assembly halls
All hull sections and steel structures are fabricated indoors in our large assembly halls. This ensures high quality in all our work. The largest hall measures 320 by 60 metres, with a 25 meter ceiling. There are three 120-tonne travelling overhead cranes, two 70-tonne and three 40-tonne, in addition to many smaller cranes. Our lifting capacity in the assembly hall is 240 tonnes.
Slipway
Our slipway is of half dock type and is suitable for ships up to 255 by 40 metres. Our three cranes give us the ability to handle sections up to 120 tonnes.
